Tarot cards were first developed in the 14th century and were used to play games. In the 18th century tarot cards began to be used for divination purposes and it wasn’t until the 18th century that tarot cards became popular in the united states.
The Tarot is a symbolic map of consciousness that encompasses and incorporate our journey through life; realistically and spiritually.
Tarot card reading is the practice of using tarot cards to gain insight into the past, present or future by formulating a question, then drawing and interpreting cards. Reading tarot cards is a type of cartomancy (fortune telling).
Tarot reading is the practice of divine wisdom and guidance through a specific spread of Tarot cards. However, contrary to popular belief, the cards do not simply tell your fortune, the cards are meant to provide understanding into the innermost truths of own higher self and intuition. The tarot cards provide an evolved awareness of what you already know deep within.
